Behind the scenes

We have a passionate team of professionals who work on beautiful products. We do this every working day from our modern building in Winterswijk. The good working atmosphere is the basis for our excellent product quality. This is what it looks like behind the scenes.

At the office

One team of co-makers

Our building covers approximately 7,500 m². This provides sufficient space for production, shipping, storage and a two floors of offices. Because all teams work together at one location, it is easy to drop in on each other. Office staff can often be found in the factory and vice versa. Together, we form one team of co-makers.

Team Wiggers

"We organise fun activities outside of work. You may be taking part in a pub quiz and another time you hit a round of golf. It's nice to get to know your colleagues in a different way."

Soili

Soili - Production Assistant

"I really enjoy my job in production! I learn best by doing things myself, so we built up the work gradually. I've already completed an additional course and I perform quality checks.

We have a great team and we get on with it, we make cool products and work on great projects. The work is varied, which keeps me on my toes. My working hours are from 7:00 to 15:30. I love those hours, because I still have lots of time in the afternoon and evening. And I never have to work weekends. I hope I can stay at Wiggers until I retire!”

Burak

Burak - Sheathing Assistant

"Joining Wiggers was a great step for me: I've completed training in the wood sector and live in Winterswijk. I was looking for a job with plenty of challenge and day shifts. I found it at Wiggers. I love finishing work at 15:30, not having to work weekends and being able to take a holiday in the summer.

I've been working at Wiggers for five years now. Always in the sheathing department. It never gets boring. We receive many different types of orders. Sometimes with complicated, new profiles. To sheath them all nicely and with the right material is an exciting challenge; that makes it interesting. I will continue working in this department as long as possible. Sheathing truly is my profession."

Roy

Roy - Dispatch Assistant

"In my role, I prepare products for shipment. I do this with a friendly team of six. We always have a couple of drinks together in the run-up to the holidays. But we also have fun outside of work, like a dinner party in Winterswijk. Anyone who wants to, joins in.

I'm very satisfied with Wiggers as an employer. It is a wonderful company, everyone knows each other, helps each other and shows interest. Wiggers arranges good work clothes and my pension. There's also enough time to carry out my work without feeling any pressure. And another bonus is that I can cycle to work. My working day doesn't start too early and I'm always back home at a reasonable hour."

Laura

Laura Peree - Accounts Assistant

"I've been working at Wiggers for more than eight years now. I started as an intern and then got the opportunity to stay and work here. A great opportunity! I started as an assistant accountant and now work full-time as a financial assistant. This work suits me, I really enjoy going to work.

The staff association organises fun activities every year, such as the European Championship pool with a grand prize-giving ceremony, an after-ski evening with a buffet and quiz and the annual Sinterklaas party with the (grand)children. A trip to Hoevelaken with a Solex tour and bird of prey show is my favourite so far. The activities contribute to the feeling of solidarity. It's nice to see and speak to colleagues in a different setting. In casual clothes you get to know each other in a different way."

Luuk

Luuk Berghuis - Account Manager

"I had no relevant experience for a position at Wiggers. Gerrit really looked at my qualities and put his faith in me. I started in project management, in combination with sales. That's how we found out what suits me best, what suits me and what I like most. In the end, it turned out to be a position as account manager. That's what I'm doing now.

I was soon at a trade fair with my colleagues. I'm glad they put their faith in me! The atmosphere in the team is also great. We help each other and come up with ideas. And there's always room for a chat or some fun."

Jan

Jan Diepeveen - Forklift Operator

"I'm in charge of storage, take care of loading and unloading the truck and also transport our products internally. I especially like working with large materials. At the end of the day, I ensure a tidy shipping area, so my colleagues can start their day feeling refreshed every morning. And if they need me, they always know where to find me: thanks to my forklift, I'm a jack of all trades.

I'm also a member of the staff representation team. I'm a communication link between staff and management. I like to do my bit to ensure everyone's happy. I arrive at work with a smile on my face every day and I also go home with a smile. I hope to stay here until I retire."
