Quick completion of 160 flats at The Yard
On the Friese Straatweg in Groningen you will find The Yard: a high-quality complex with 160 flats surrounded by greenery and water. For the finishing, Peter Mensen of contractor Geveke Bouw chose our EcoProfiel window sills, custom-made sills and lintels. Peter: “14 years ago, I was looking for a finishing concept that I could apply quickly. That’s how I ended up at Wiggers, and we've been working together ever since. Because if you like something, you keep going with it.”
Products on site within two days
Given the size of the project, we delivered the products in seven partial deliveries. Peter: “For the first phase, all products were numbered and labelled so that they arrived at exactly the right place and flat.” On site, the products were cut to size precisely, down to the centimetre. For the remaining six deliveries, we took a different approach. Peter: “I sent Jacob, my contact at Wiggers, an overview of the products needed for the coming period, all with a few centimetres of over-length. Jacob made sure they were on site within two to three days. The speed of this working method suited this project perfectly. The cooperation was super.”
EcoProfiel range: always in supply
EcoProfiel is our stock-based range of finishing profiles, aimed specifically at the construction industry. The base is moisture-resistant MDF, finished with a white or cream finish film. Ideally suited for large-scale projects like this, or when fast delivery is required. Peter: “The products arrive quickly, there is no painter involved, and they are maintenance-friendly. For us, it’s just assemble and go.”
