Consultation with contractor and architect

This last building section was achieved by construction combination Dura Vermeer-Trebbe. Joris van Woudenberg of Dura Vermeer says: ‘Thanks to previous collaborations, we knew that Wiggers was a suitable party to take on the wall finishing. Together with Gerrit Hartman of Wiggers and Wiegerinck Architects, we discussed the possibilities. With all these wishes and within budget, Wiggers developed a proposal and submitted it to the architect. This was handled smoothly. And because everyone was satisfied, the proposal has since become a reality.’

Hundreds of customised slats

Gerrit Hartman, Wiggers: ‘All slats are coated with oak veneer, lacquered and thus ready-to-use. The background is liver colour. We developed this especially at the architect's request.’ The walls in the building vary in height and contain door frames, electrical installations, door handles and even a television. That is why our craftsmen measured the project down to the millimetre. Then production started. In the factory, we sorted and labelled all the slats so that the products could be delivered on site directly to the right floor and room. Joris van Woudenberg: ‘Even the end edges and notches are tightly finished. True customisation. We are very satisfied with the process and the result. We are looking forward to the next project!’
